Kit Lamb "Faulkrist" Cassette Tape

Kit Lamb is an experimental musician hailing from the damp woods of Humboldt County, California. "Faulkrist" was his first foray into ambient soundscapes, sparked by the acquisition of a steel resonator guitar and a MIDI keyboard which expanded the pallete beyond mere electric guitar. Composed and recorded in 2009 at the ripe age of 17, Faulkrist captures a moment of shifting concerns and influences as Kit began to appreciate dynamics, drones and sound design to a much greater degree than his previous self would allow, it being single-mindedly focused on learning how to ‘shred’. Technicality gave way to improvisation and aural reveries as tracks began to layer and order themselves either as loops or freely improvised takes subsequently played against to find their openings.

The 2021 Open Head re-release of Faulkrist features an alternate, expanded tracklist and its first manifestation in the physical plane. Limited edition of 25 cassette tapes.
